The Grande Prairie & District Co-op amalgamated with Rycroft Food Store in February 2008. As a result of the amalgamation our name has now changed to New Horizon Co-operative Ltd. Our members can now enjoy shopping in either location and use their same member number.

Rycroft Co-op

The Rycroft Food Store has supplied the village as well as the surrounding community with groceries for countless years. In May 2003 a new 7,200 sq ft Co-op Grocery Store was built located on the corner of 51 Street and 48 Avenue. The Rycroft Food Store has more than 3700 members and the association started in 1937. Located at the junction of Highway 2 and 49, Rycroft is situated on the crossroads that takes you north to Fairview and Peace River, or west to Spirit River and into British Columbia, or east to Wanham, Eaglesham and McLennan.
